Adobe Firefly Pricing (2026): Generative Credits Explained for Ad Teams

Adobe Firefly pricing verified on adobe.com and helpx.adobe.com on 2026-10-07 (US): Standard $9.99, Pro $19.99, Pro Plus $49.99, Premium $199.99 a month, Creative Cloud Pro credits, add-on credit plans, Adobe's per-model credit rates, and what a 100-variant Meta ad test actually burns.

Prices and limits last verified against the vendor on 2026-10-07.

Every price on this page was read off Adobe's own pages on 2026-10-07 through a US-vantage reader (r.jina.ai), and Adobe's checkout links on those pages carry co=US, so these are US-dollar prices for the United States. Adobe prices by region; if you're buying elsewhere, the plan structure below will hold but the numbers may not. Sources:

The cost-per-credit figures and the 100-variant test math are ours. Adobe publishes the plan prices and the per-model rates on separate pages; the decision lives in combining them.

The one rule that changes how you read every price below: on a paid Firefly plan, Adobe's standard image features are unlimited and cost zero credits. Credits only pay for premium work: video, audio, the newest Firefly image models, and every partner model. Two teams on the same plan can have completely different bills depending on which model they pick from the dropdown.

Verified on adobe.com/products/firefly/plans and the generative credits FAQ on 2026-10-07, US. Cost per 1,000 credits is our arithmetic, rounded, and treats the full plan price as buying credits, which understates the value of the bundled apps on Pro and above.

Team plans are listed separately on the Firefly product page, each "Annual, billed monthly" and priced per license: Firefly Pro for teams at US$19.99, Pro Plus for teams at US$49.99 and Premium for teams at US$199.99, with the same credit allowances as the individual versions plus "admin tools and 24x7 support." The individual plan cards show a monthly price without an annual-commitment label; check the term at checkout before you assume you can cancel any month.

Four things the table doesn't say out loud:

1. The price per credit is flat until Premium. Standard, Pro and Pro Plus all work out to $5.00 per 1,000 credits. Moving up from Standard to Pro doesn't make credits cheaper; it buys more of them and adds Photoshop on web and mobile and Express Premium. Only Premium cuts the rate, to $4.00 per 1,000, and it adds unlimited Firefly Video Model generation, which is the bigger deal for video teams.

2. Adobe's "up to 20 videos" figure is the cheapest case. The Standard card says 2,000 credits "generate up to 20 five-second videos." That's 100 credits per five-second clip, or 20 credits per second, which matches Adobe's published rate for Firefly Generate Video at 540p. At 1080p, Adobe's own rate is 100 credits per second, so the same 2,000 credits make 4 five-second clips. Neither number is wrong; just know which one you're buying.

3. Credits don't roll over. The FAQ is explicit: balances reset to the plan allowance on your billing date. Unused credits from a quiet month are gone.

4. Unlimited standard generation has a fair-use backstop. In its section on trial users, Adobe's FAQ says that for plans with unlimited access it has "safeguards in place to prevent misuse," and that unusual usage may trigger a temporary restriction. Plan for very high volume as something to confirm with Adobe, not something the word "unlimited" guarantees.

Creative Cloud Plans Also Carry Credits

Many ad teams already pay Adobe for Creative Cloud and never bought Firefly separately. Here's what those plans include, per Adobe's FAQ:

Creative Cloud Pro is listed at US$69.99/mo, "Annual, billed monthly", on adobe.com/creativecloud/plans, with a promotion on 2026-10-07 of US$34.99/mo for the first 3 months for new subscribers. It carries the same 4,000 credits as Firefly Pro, so it only makes sense on credit grounds if you need the desktop apps.

Two consequences for ad teams:

  • A designer on a single-app plan has 25 credits a month. That's two Firefly Image 5 generations, and not enough for a single high-resolution GPT Image 2 generation at 80 credits. If your designers are surprised their partner-model menu "doesn't work," this is usually why.
  • Credits stack across subscriptions. Per the FAQ, if you hold several plans, your available credits are the sum, and the reset follows the billing date of the plan you subscribed to first.

The 7,000-credit add-on is the cheapest rate per credit below 50,000. Paid Creative Cloud members can buy these; paid Firefly members can buy them or upgrade instead. Adobe's FAQ also lists a 4,000-credit add-on in its table of plans, but the add-on purchase page didn't show a price for it on 2026-10-07, so we've left it out.

What Each Model Costs in Credits

Adobe publishes a credit rate for its own premium features and for each partner model. These are the ones that matter for paid-social creative.

Verified on the generative credits FAQ and the partner models page 2026-10-07. Adobe notes that Seedance 2.0, Seedance 2.0 Fast, Kling 2.5 Turbo, Kling 3.0 and Kling 3.0 Omni are currently available to individual users only, not business plans.

Seedream, ByteDance's image model, does not appear on Adobe's partner-model list as of 2026-10-07; only the Seedance video models do. If Seedream is part of your image workflow, it isn't available through Firefly.

Where Adobe doesn't publish a fixed number, we don't invent one. Firefly Creative Production (Adobe's bulk-production feature) is listed as "Varies," and Firefly Graph workflows can show a "Credits vary" label because some nodes' cost is only known after the run. If you plan to batch-produce ad variants through either, run a small batch first and read the actual deduction from your balance.

The 100-Variant Meta Test, Priced

A typical creative test on Meta needs volume: say 100 static variants across hooks, offers and visuals, or a smaller number of short videos. Here's what that burns on Adobe's published rates.

Credits a 100-variant static ad test burns in Adobe Firefly by model, against the Standard, Pro and Pro Plus plan allowances

Statics. The first column assumes one generation per kept variant. That's the floor; in practice teams generate several candidates and keep one, so the second column assumes three generations per kept variant. That ratio is our assumption, not Adobe's; substitute your own.

Video. Five-second clips, because that's the unit Adobe uses on its own plan cards. A 15-second cut costs three times as much.

What the arithmetic says:

  • For statics, credits are rarely the real cost. Even the heaviest case, 100 kept variants at three high-resolution GPT Image 2 generations each, is about $120 of credit value. Next to the media budget the test is meant to spend, that's small. The real cost is the human time to brief, review, resize and upload 100 assets.
  • Model choice moves the bill 16x. GPT Image 2 at high resolution costs 16 times as much per image as at low resolution. Prototype on cheaper settings and spend premium credits only on finalists.
  • Video is where plans actually break. One hundred 1080p Firefly clips cost 50,000 credits on any plan except Premium, where they cost nothing because of the unlimited Firefly Video Model. If your Meta tests are video-first and Adobe's own video model is good enough, Premium is the only plan that makes the math sane.
  • Partner video is never unlimited. Premium's unlimited video covers only the Firefly Video Model. Veo, Kling and Seedance still draw from the 50,000 credits.

Who Should Pay For Which Plan

  • Designers who mostly retouch and extend: Firefly Standard or a Creative Cloud plan you already have. Standard features are unlimited on Standard; check that your single-app plan's 25 credits aren't the thing blocking you.
  • Small teams producing static ad variants with partner models: Firefly Pro if you want Photoshop on web and Express Premium, Pro Plus if you regularly use GPT Image 2 medium or Nano Banana 2.
  • Video-first paid-social teams: Firefly Premium, if Adobe's own video model suits your creative. If you depend on Veo or Kling, price your volume in credits first; Premium's unlimited video doesn't cover partner models.
  • Enterprise teams that need IP indemnity: none of the plans above. Adobe's indemnity requires an enterprise entitlement; see the commercial-safety table on the Adobe Firefly alternatives page.
  • Teams whose bottleneck is launching and measuring, not making: no Firefly plan addresses that. Compare the options in Adobe Firefly alternatives, and see our best AI tools for Meta ad creatives for the creative layer on its own.
